As a comparatively new initiative in ICT sector, now we need some technical and financial support to strengthen our existing program. Connecting people with the present ICT for development initiative is now our main concentration. So, our immediate aim is to establish an internet based training center in our office campus (Bagerhat) with necessary devices and furniture.
To establish four ISEP Centers (IT Solution to End Poverty) with internet facilities in four Upazillas (sub-district) of Bagerhat is our immediate objective. It will be an available information source for poor people to support their livelihood. One the other hand it will protect people by providing weather signals from disasters due to climate changes, which is becoming a threat for Southern belt people of Bangladesh.

Dear Safiqul Bhai,
Happy New Year and greetings from Pally Badhu Kallyan Sangstha PBKS).
Thanks for your mail about climate change. We are working in the Gaibandha district and it’s a flood affected, river eroded, poverty stricken area. Every year 10 thousand people are attacked in river erosion, over flood and monga for this reason poor and vulnerable people migrate in another place. I think if we talk about this situation and implement some activities.
In this regard, PBKS started an environmental friendly tree plantation program since 2000. Near about 15 lacs Tulsi plants (2-3 feet tall, leafy and flowery herbs, dust adsorbent and higher fresh oxygen donors known from ancient time) are planted in homestead gardening, road side and others fallow areas. Every year a lot of Tulsi leaves (~150 M.T. fresh) could be harvested and prepared different value added products such as Tulsi herbal tea, Tulsi slim tea or diabetic’s tea. Besides a lot of by products can also be prepared (Tulsi Organic Fertilizer, Insecticides, Tulsi-Mehedi Uptan, Tulsi Organic Soap and other Skin Protective Lotion/Cream). Several Studies shown that it’s hot water extract or tea is astringents, anti oxidants as well as holy tea of certain population throughout the world and its demand is now increasing day by day.
Therefore, PBKS already formulated a highly acceptable astringents, color, flavor, aroma containing Tulsi Herbal Tea from these leaves and other natural resources. It is now ready for commercial production and marketing. PBKS collected raw leaves from their major stakeholders or beneficiary groups which are consisted of women, disabled and children by the co-operative basis and utilize these raw ingredients from Tulsi plants.
I think our activities also an environment friendly and contribute for climate change.
Thanks with regards.
