Exhibition of ICT in climate change summit

Exhibition of Information and Communication Technology is continuing from December 7, 2009 in the climate change summit of United Nation. This exhibition will be held until December 18.This exhibition will show how ICT can create awareness about climate change and contribute to decrease climate change. International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has arranged a special program named ‘Business Talk’ in Cop-15 summit. Leaders of IT sector of developing and developed countries will discuss in this program.

ICT kiosk is opened to show the contribution and usage of ICT in case of climate change. How governmental sector, non governmental sector of developed and developing countries can create awareness about climate change and how IT can contribute to fight against

ICT and Girls Empowerment

As in many developing nations, girls in Bangladesh are still not enjoying equal educational, The capacity of girls to take advantage of the new technologies as tools for empowerment is restricted by socio-economic and cultural factors.economic, and social opportunities. ICT has opened up a new door of opportunities for girls in Bangladesh. Girls need to access to ICT for the same reasons as boys. They need to learn ICT skills for their educational achievements, personal development, and employment opportunities. However, the capacity of girls to take advantage of the new technologies as tools for empowerment is restricted by socio-economic and cultural factors.
